SNAP-8 is acetyl octapeptide-3, an eight-amino-acid peptide developed as the successor to Argireline. It dampens SNARE complex formation and with it muscle contraction in expression areas.

Difference from Argireline
SNAP-8 carries two extra amino acids and binds more stably to the SNAP-25 fragment. Formulas often use both together because their effects on forehead and eye area complement each other.

- Well tolerated, no photosensitivity
